NUTRITION SERVICES at the GASTROENTEROLOGY CENTER's are provided by professional dietitians, members of the "Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec". Dietitians are uniquely trained to advise on diet, food and nutrition.
Nutrition education may be directed towards health promotion, disease prevention, and/or disease treatment. The dietitians rely on up-to-date results from evidence based research for their education resources.
The nutrition services include:
- an in-depth assessment,
- health education,
- behavioural counselling in the planning and delivery of nutrition care.
A written consultation report is sent to your referring therapist for appropriate communication between professionals.
The nutrition services provide ongoing follow-up to help achieve the best health outcomes.
